1Team Member Interview Guide
When you meet as a team, you should determine who interviews whom. Interviews should be conducted in pairs. Each person must interview at least one anotherperson, and each person must be interviewed. Once you are done with the interviews, you should gather together and each interviewer will introduce the teammate that they interviewed.
InterviewQuestions
1.Where were you born, where have you lived, and which locations have had the greatest influence on you?
2.What would you like your team to know about your family?
3.Describe the culturethat you grew up in and others that have had a significant influence on you.
4.What are your interests and passions?
5.What should your team know about your personality that will allow you andthem to be most effective?
6.Name 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses
7.Tell one thing about yourself that other team members do not know about. 8.As a team, you can decide to ask additionalquestions as well.
For the person conducting the interview
As you ask the questions, listen for both the explicit answers and to understand the essence of the person that you are interviewing. Whenyou introduce your partner you will share their specific answers with your team along with your interpretation of their essence as a person.
Team debrief from all interviews
1.Each interviewerwill introduce the teammate that they interviewed, share what they learned and describe their personal interpretation of that person’s essence.
2.The team member that was interviewed will then beasked if the description sounds correct to them and if there is anything that they would like to add.
3.After each member has been introduced, the team will then share their observations abouttheir team and describe the combined essence of their team.
4.The team will designate one member to capture the highlights of the conversation so that it can be shared with the instructor.
