The purpose of this report is to inform about the decrease on sales in the “The Chocolatery” branch number two over the last eight months. The report includes a review of basedata sales report, fieldwork and staff interviews. A major finding indicates a direct link between ongoing construction, i.e. roadwork outside “The Chocolatery” and a decrease in sales. While it isclear that the sales need to improve, this report recommends that “The Chocolatery” has to create and apply a marketing strategy, which will accompany the works building transition. The strategy must befocused towards the business people and local people around the branch, it includes: massive advertising on radio and print media, offering takeaway and delivery service and buy one and get one free,among other strategies, always thinking in quality and good customer service as the main aim.

This report has as objective to inform the management why the sales volume of “TheChocolatery” restaurant, has decreased over the past eight months and to recommend ways to recover the sales volume and increase costumer numbers.
