By The Waters Of Babylon
This story is about the son of a priest, his name was John, and he lived with the Hill people tribe. In his tribe his father had a very important role, he was a priestand he established 3 important rules (1.-It was forbidden to travel east, 2.-It was forbidden to cross the great river, 3.- And the most strictly forbidden was to traveled to the Place of the Gods).All the Gods leave his city because a great fire.
His father teaches him how to read the old books, and made the old writings, how to made spells, and cure some hurts.
One day Johnhad a very “hard dream”, and his father says that it means that he must traveled to the Place of the Gods, and saw one of them.
He made a very large trip, crossing the territories of the ForestPeople, sailing in the great river to go over it, and when he arrived to the Place of the Gods he saw very large towers, subterranean tunnels, etc. He saw allot of thing and he want to learn more andmore, he recognize the old writings carved in the stone, and it says ASHING.
When it was night he searched for a shelter to sleep, and to hide of some dogs that want to ate him, and he entered to ahouse of a “God” it was huge with allot of books with the old writing, magical objects that lost his magic with the time, and allot of curious things, so John thought that the God that lived there musthad allot of power.
He discovered a room, in which he can make a fire and slept, so he does that.
And in the morning he inspects the house and he discovered a dead God sitting on a chair, Johnexamine him and he realized that they were not Gods they were common humans.
After that he returned to his tribe in the Hills and de told to his father all the thing that he saw, John told himthat the Place of the Gods was called New York, and his more important Gods were Lincoln, Biltmore, and Moses, but they were men who built the city, not Gods or demons.
