Dr. William GlasserIn Psychology, there are so many important Psychologists that have contributed different methods to help people in this society. One of them is Dr. William Glasses. He is an important psychology thathas been recognized around the world. He was born in 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. In the beginning, when he went to college, he wanted to be a Chemical Engineer, but time later he went into Psychiatry,and one of the reason that he decided to change his career was that he felt that Psychiatry was his real interest in his life. He attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University inCleveland, Ohio in which he received a Bachelor of Science in 1945, and a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology in 1948. He also received his M.D. in 1953 and completed a psychiatric residency between 1954 and1957 at UCLA. He became
William Glasser is best known as the author of Reality Therapy, “ a method of psychotherapy that he created in 1965” (The William Glasser Institute, 2007), and it isbased on a concept called Choice Therapy. “ It has become well established in the U.S. and internationally, and it has also been widely applied in education” (Vincent Berger, 2005). Board Certificate in1961 (The William Glasser Institute, 2007).

“ William Glasser ideas, which focus on personal choice, personal responsibility and personal transformation, are considered controversial bymainstream psychiatrist” (Wikipedia, 2008). This is because most Psychiatrists focus on different things such as classifying psychiatric syndromes.
