Re: Fortune Garments’ Major Issues
After several studies done by the staff members of Wayne Enterprises, we classified the following issues as responsible forFortune Garments’ major problems:
1. Quality Control
2. Costumer Service
3. Designing Strategies
According to our business consultants, problems within these issues are responsible for thedecreasing value of the company’s shares. Further studies helped us predict that if the company keeps running without implementing changes in the company’s management and design strategies, it will keepfalling, and the position of the brand would lose prestige as well.
Regarding quality controls, we are aware of several stock cancellations because of low quality standards. As most of those productswere manufactured at overseas plants, we are strongly convinced that the problem is related to the purchase of foreign supplies. Certainly, the company has 3,000 suppliers, which 70% percent of themare out of Hong Kong. We think that the provided supplies are not meeting the quality standards of the company, and later on, the manufactured products receive the entire set of penalties.
In thefield of design, our psychology department performed several studies and found out that designers felt uncomfortable because of limited communication that they maintained with the designers working atother overseas plants. They were not aware of the opinions of these designers. Mainly, they were worried about the unknown opinions of Hong Kong designers, and that stayed as the motive why they didnot design freely, they just designed within the classic standards. They also requested more autonomy in their work and in decision making.
