LOCATION: The caribbean región is located in the north part of Colombia. It is by sevendepartments, which are: Atlántico, Bolivar, Sucre, Cordoba, Guajira, Cesar, Magdalena.
This region is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.
SPECIAL FESTIVITIES:
Our region has many festivities, some of them are:1. Carnival of Barranquilla: is the most important festivity in this region. In it, people use masks and colorful dresses, and people dances during four days.
2. The Independence Kingdom:this event is celebrated in Cartagena city on November eleven. Here come many candidates from differents departments of the country and the city of Cartagena celebrates its independence.
3. The seakingdom: this festivity is celebrated in Santa Marta. Many participants from each department of our country show their habilities for the sea.
4. Vallenato festival: this celebration is fromCesar department. In it, people go to the Consuelo Araujo Square to listen and dance vallenato music, and choose the vallenato king.
5. Corralejas festival: this celebration is from Sucredepartment. In this event many people go to the corralejas to see many braves bulls and people running to escape from them. This festivity is celebrated n January twenty.
TYPICAL FOODS:
This region has avariety of foods, for example, we can find:
* The rice with coconut, fried fish and patacones with water of panela with lemon.
* Suero with bollo.
* Chivo roasted.
