 INTRODUCCIÓN 
 
 Para el profesional de Enfermería se hace sumamente importante laaplicación del  procesodel cuidado deenfermería, el cual es unametodología  detrabajoconsistente en unsistemacon pasosrelacionados que permite identificar y satisfacer necesidades interferidas y resolver  problemasdesalud que afecten al ser humano en su contexto, familiaycomunidad .  Es por ello que el presente trabajo se llevó a cabo teniendo la finalidad deaplicar el proceso del cuidado de enfermería en un usuario de 10 años deedad que ingresó al Hospital Felipe Guevara Rojas del municipio Simón Rodríguez (El Tigre),Estado Anzoátegui con un Diagnostico medico de Henia discal. En la parte de la valoración se aplicaron dostécnicas: en primer lugar un instrumento de recolección dedatos(  Entrevista / datos subjetivos aportados por un familiar del usuario) y en segundo lugar, serealizó un examen físico (datos objetivos).
