Don Quixote

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra was born the 29 of september 1547 and died 22 April of 1616. He was a Spanish novelist, poet andplayright. One of his greatest novles was Don Quixote. This novel is considered the first modern European novel, a classic western literatura and itsamong the best Works of fiction ever.

In Don Quixote, Cervates criticizes the social clases in Spain, where the nobility is still in the mostimportante even when education become very good in the lower class. An example of this in the book is the arrogance of the Duke and Duchess and howhe found that the distinctions in the Spanish social class was intorable.
In the first part of the book there is a parody of the romances ofCervantes. An example is “Don Quixote rides out like any other knight-errant, searching for the same principles and goals and engaging in similarbattles. During these battles, he invokes chivalric ideals, regardless of how ridiculous his adventures may be”.

In this novel first part itsdescribe a code of honor that work as an example for Spain that was mix with war and its own success. So Cervantes applies this code of values.Many people think that this novel Don Quixote is a comic novel and that it made fun of the popular chivalric romances and many people agree withthis point of view
