The major difference between Catholic and Jewish is that Catholic is a Christian denomination and Jewish (or Judaism) is a religion that came before Christianity.Both religions have their roots in Torah (the Christian Old Testament for Catholicism). Both Jews and Catholics also believe in the story of the creation of Adan, and that chosen people of God werecalled Jews. Both believe in the Mesias to come, but Jews have a different belief to Catholics. The Jews were looking for the Mesias, that is Jesus Christ for Catholic religion, but Jews believe thatMesias has not yet arrived.

Catholics recognize the Bible and Apostolic Tradition. Catholicism see the Bishop of Rome as the universal pastor (the Pope). Christian faith is established on the baseof Judaism and believes in the salvation of the human race, not as Jewish one that has not accepted Jesus as the Mesias until now. Jewish people, unlike Catholics, do not have a belief that JesusChrist is the son of God, whereas Catholics pray to saints and believe in the confession of their sins.
In fact, there are also those adherents of Jesus Christ who accepted Christianity over Judaism,since they believed that the Mesias they were waiting for had arrived. Catholics admit the Jews all the time, and pray for them too. They are also not considered to be against the Jews, since theyboth follow the same Old Testament.
It can be said that the differences between the Judaism and Christian religion are concepts about God, views of Jesus Christ,original sin, death, heaven and hell.Jewish people believe in monotheism, whereas Catholics believe in the Trinity. For a Jewish person, Jesus Christ is a wonderful teacher, like an apostle, but not an incarnation of God, whereasChristianity believe that Jesus Christ is the Mesias and son of God.
