Egyptians thought cats were sacred andthey even penalty people to death if they killed one cat. Cats were mummified after death and buried in sanctified plots, often with their supplies of mummified mice for the afterlife! Can you believeit? Cats enjoyed a great time with the Egyptians.
Cats soon spread to the Indian sub-continent, and on to China and later on all over the world. They soon became popular because of their usefulfunction.
