Page 1 The 5.18 software patch for the ViconNet IP cameras meant for ViconNet version 3.x based systems is
part of the ongoing effort to increase performance and maintain thehighest reliability possible.
Page 1 This patch contains several fixes to reported issues and also corrects problems related to daylight saving
settings around the world.

Installation willbe done using VNSetup and is described in any IP camera manual.
The patch is for the following devices running in ViconNet 3.x based systems and is not relevant for IP
cameras running in ViconNet2.18x based systems:
•
VN-301T, VN-755IP camera, SVFT IP boards, V910 IP cameras.
Cameras running version 3.x software will show IP version 5.1x (where x is any number).

This patch isn't a MUST INSTALL patch, however Vicon always recommends to use the latest
software version when possible.
What is in the 5.18 Patch ?
Thefollowing issues have been resolved and enhanced in this version:

Time zone changes around the world to match Windows updated list
Solve remote macro IP bug that would cause remotemacro to fail
Correct SVFT alarm input issue that would require a restart after macro setup
Enhance logging functions for technical support purpose
Where to get it ?
The 5.18 software versionwill be added to the ViconNet 3.2c CD and replace the existing version 5.17.
The version will be put into production and loaded on all the new production IP boards.
Vicon will also publish a copyof this version on the Vicon FTP site, which can be reached through the
following links:
