To start with I would like to define what are Internet and Technology. Then, Internet and Technology are modern and useful tools that are considered asdouble-edged swords, in other words they have good and bad sides relates to children. Since Internet and technology contribute to the formation of children however, when these tools are used in a wrongway they can cause some problems such as not interact whit others, electronic addiction, children can watch pornography, etc. It’s true that the Internet and technology have pros and cons but in myopinion they are more positives things. Children can improve academic skills and they can have a wonderful academic formation.
Internet and Technology are a benefit for children academic skills forexample, children can do homework’s easily, search for information on the web, also exercise their mind and something that I consider very important, the price… it’s cheaper than buy many books.Children who use the Internet show gains in cognitive abilities such as memory, logical problem solving, critical thinking, concentration, abstraction and comprehension. The Internet exposes children toinformation to improve the quality of learning that they can transform into knowledge on the other hand according to Gloria Llaza Loayza (psiquiatra) children who use the internet and Technology areinclined to get addiction so there are cases of children as young as seven years with such vices. Children leave the real world and they immerse themselves in the virtual life. To tell the truth all thenegatives aspects before mentioned have solutions, adult supervision, in addiction the Teacher- researcher of computer science at the Catholic University San Pablo, Dennis Barrios Aranibar, emphasizesthat the correct application helps students in their training.
