Fisiología de los procesos productivos



1.- INTRODUCCIÓN

Para llevar acabo un programa reproductivo en explotación, es esencial conocer el ciclo estral de la vaca así como los factores que lo regulan.
Durante los últimos años ha habido un rápido desarrollo de las tecnologías reproductivas que han incrementado la eficiencia y la genética de las vacas.
Algunas de estas tecnologías incluyen la sincronización de celos, transferencia de embriones, inseminaciónartificial, semen sexado, ecografia y producción de embriones in-vitro acompañado de tecnologías para la mejora genética (Seidel, 1995 citado por Lamb et al., 2009).
