Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose full name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, 1 (Salzburg, January 27, 1756 - Vienna, December 5, 1791) was an Austrian composer and pianist, teacher of Classicism, considered one of the musicians most influential and distinguished history.
Mozart's work covers all genres of his time and reaches over six hundred creations, mostly recognized asmasterpieces of symphonic, concert ante, chamber, piano, operatic, and choral, achieving popularity and universal.
In his earliest childhood in Salzburg, Mozart showed prodigious capacity in mastering keyboard instruments and violin. With only five years already composing musical works and their performances were appreciated by the aristocrats and European royalty. At seventeen he was engaged as acourt musician in Salzburg, but his concern led him to travel in search of a better position, always composing abundantly. During his visit to Vienna in 1781, after being fired from his position at court, decided to settle in this city where he achieved fame that kept the rest of his life, despite going through difficult financial situations. In his final years, he composed many of hissymphonies, concertos and operas most famous, and his Requiem. The circumstances of his early dead lift numerous speculations and elevated to the status of myth.
In the words of music critics like Nicholas Till, Mozart always learned voraciously from other musicians and developed a brilliance and maturity of style that ranged from light and elegance, darkness and passion-all well established with a visionof the humanity "redeemed through art, forgiven and reconciled with nature and the absolute" - 2 His influence on subsequent Western music is deep, Ludwig van Beethoven wrote his first compositions in the shadow of Mozart, of whom Joseph Haydn wrote that "posterity will not see such a talent again in a hundred years' .3
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, Austria inthe current, which at that time was an independent archbishopric del Sacro Roman Empire. He was the last son of Leopold Mozart, a musician in the service of the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg. Leopold was second Kapellmeister at the court of the Archbishop of Salzburg and a composer with little relevance, but was an experienced teacher. His mother's name was Anna Maria Pertly. Due to the highinfant mortality in Europe at the time, of the seven children who had survived the marriage only Maria Anna, nicknamed Nannerl affectionately, and Wolfgang Amadeus. The birthplace of Mozart is in the Get reidegasse n. # 9 of the city of Salzburg. This is a house that currently has a large number of objects of the time and tools that belonged to Mozart during his childhood.
