Chapter 3 section 4
* DNA: A-T/ G-C+RNA: A-T/G-C/A-U
* DNA: A-T/G-C+RNA: A-T/G-C/A-U
* The RNA carry the genetic code from the DNA from the cytoplasm inside the nucleus into the cytoplasm* Transfer RNA: carries amino acids to the ribosome’s and adds them to the growing protein
* Protein synthesis:
1. Messenger RNA production
2. Messenger RNA attaches to aribosome
3. Transfer RNA attaches to messenger RNA
4. Protein production continues
* DNA A+RNA U /DNA G with RNA C
* Proteins are produced form protein synthesis by the nucleolus
* Theorder of the nitrogen bases along a gene forms a genetic code the specifies what type of protein is produced.
* Box with amino acids
* Amino acids form proteins
* Mutations-a change in agene or chromosomes
* Types of mutations- substitution, deletion, and additions
Mutations aren’t always harm full

Chapter 5 section 1
* Theory of evolution by natural selection/in Galapagosislands
* Natural selection is accomplished when individuals that are better adapted to their environment are more likely to survive and reproduce then other members of the same species.
*Overproduction-when species produce more off springs that can possibly survive
* Adaption-a trait that helps an organism survive and reproduce
* Competition-since food and recourses are limitedthe members of a species must compete with each other to survive
* Naturalist-a person who studies the natural world
* Evolution- gradual change in a species over time
* Variations-difference between individuals of he same species
* Species- a group of similar organisms that can mate with each other and create fertile off springs
* Cause and effect:
1. Over production:to many offspring’s/ there wont be enough food, water, and recourses.
2. Adaptation: good trait passed down y generation/helps the organism survive and reproduce
3. Competition: food and...
