Cloning
Cloning is the process in which DNA is imitated in order to make exact copies of an individual or a cell; this process is nowadays possible, but very controversial. The number one successful attempt was made in 1997 when Dolly was born, a clone of an adult male sheep; since then, scientist have been cloning different animals, but in the process of coping the DNA aresome little mistakes that drives the individual to unknown diseases and eventually dead.
In the past scientists used to take an empty egg and place de DNA of a mature and complete cell, but most of the time the cell division stopped before growing into an embryo, trough studies they figured out that it is not necessary to remove the egg’s nucleus and that technique is much more secure.
The mostrecent investigation threw out that this method is not only useful to grow embryos, but they can also be grown into organs. Before being an embryo, the cells start to duplicate, those are stem cells, which can be turn into any kind of cell and eventually a functional organ.
After all that new information, we are on the way of making any kind of cell or organ for therapeutical uses withoutneeding an embryo; this would help to make cloning better in an ethical view. In the future if someone needs a heart transplant, instead of waiting for a matching donor, doctors are going to grow a complety new and identical organ. The rejection would not be a problem any more, and maybe not even the waiting. As every new scientific advance, everyday it is going to be easier, cheaper and faster, soorgan failures are going to become a not so common cause of death.

Pros | Cons |
The scientific advances would lead us to more advances | Cloning humans is against nature. |
This study of DNA modification could prevent or eliminate genetic problems | The DNA modification and cloning of talented people could divide society into “super humans” and regular |
Cloning endanger or extinct speciescan prevent their extinction | If the DNA of bacterias is cloned, it could have a mistake and mutate the original into a more risky one. |
Cloning organs can improve the life of ill people | If extinct animals or bacterias are bring to life, their diseases could make an unknown and dangerous epidemy |
Infertility wouldn’t be a problem and even gay couples could have their own babies |Cloning could be used to make stronger or more intelligent people for wars or new wicked technology |
The cloning of complete ecosystems could help the weather problems | Cloned kids could have psychological issues, because they might not have the felling of being unique and the expectation of the parents. |

Case
For a catholic priest, this advance is just depraved. As the bible shows, god isthe only one who can create something; therefore, cloning would be playing god and that is a sin. That isn’t the only fact that makes a priest go against this idea, but also cloning goes against the three of the Ten Commandments and even support the Capital Vices.
The first Commandment says that you would love God above everything, and cloning suggest that you don’t respect God’s wishes and youlove yourself more, the 10th points that you would not covet, this is ligated to a sin, slot, which is shown as an indifference of Lord’s words; and if you want to grow a supermodel or a superstar’s identical twin, is because you want what they have, this could also lead us to think that you are a sinner in the way the Cardinal Sins describes envy.
Wanting more of what you have or can have, likea genius kid, is avarice and if you think that the world needs more of you, you are committing a Deadly Sin, pride, which is not only the original one, but also the most serious.
An economist would be really worried about this break out; nowadays the economic recourses are not equally shared because rich and powerful people think that they are better than modest families and take advantage...
