Capel diedon a car accident, Coco thought that she lose everything because he was her only family. She starts with the rabbit clothes, totally a success. Un nuevo romance muy espiritual llegó a su corazón en la persona del poeta Pierre Reverdy, quien estaba casado, pero sentía devoción porCoco. Coco lo ayudó secretamente comprando sus manuscritos, interviniendo ante sus editores y dándoles dinero para que se lo enviaran. Los sentimientos de Reverdy por Chanel quedaron plasmados en las dedicatorias de cada una de sus obras, desde 1921 hasta 1960, año de su muerte.

Misia trajo alapartamento de Coco a la escritora Colette, agregando una nueva conocida a las reuniones.
Chanel diseñó el vestuario para la obra Le train bleu, una pieza de los Ballets Rusos presentada por Cocteau y Diaghilev.
