Born19th August, 1883, Saumur, France. When her mother died because of tuberculosis, her father sent she with her brothers to an orphan, where she was abandoned and learned to sew.

When she was 21 she start singing on a coffee, she wanted to dedicated the rest of her life tosing. Where she adopted the nickname Coco for the song : Who has seen Coco?
Etienne Balsan was her first love, she moved to live with her in Royalieu, where she learned all about luxury and good food also how to behave as a lady. When she went to Paris with Etienne she got trapped on the mode and designer-world.
She wanted to establish a store in Paris but Etienne despised her, but a friend ofher called Arthur Capel help her. The store was a success, so she decide to open her first Chanel Mansion. Also she opened a house of mode, including clothes and accessories.
Coco was pregnant of Capel, her true love, but she looses the baby. Coco started open new and successful mode – houses. She was the first of introduce the dress for women and jersey.
After 8 years of relation Capelabandoned her, because he will marry Lady Diana Wyndham. She was very upset. Her style was from NY to Argentina, she bought a vile in France, and in a moment of revenge she cut her long hair. All the women did the same.
Coco designed the wedding dress of her sister, but she commits suicide because she was abandoned. Coco because of her sister death never again design a wedding dress.
Capel diedon a car accident, Coco thought that she lose everything because he was her only family. She starts with the rabbit clothes, totally a success. Coco was generous when she offered the vile to Stravinsky, he was exiled. He gave to Coco his only precious commodity, his wife got sick and Coco paid her medicines.
Coco was Picasso’s friend. Later he went to Russia and started a relation with Dmitri,one of the Rasputin killers. He gave him Romanov’s pearls. Coco got the idea and throw to the mode long necklace (false). Coco also introduce to mode the suit (Chanel Suit) and the skirt.

Con la ayuda del químico perfumistaErnest Beaux, Coco escogió una fragancia en la que entraban 80 ingredientes, produciendo un perfume que se distinguía de los de entonces. La aceptación fue apoteósica y el perfume se convirtió en un clásico.
La flor y nata de los salones de San Petersburgo en el exilio encontró trabajo en la rue Cambon. Princesas y condesas arruinadas económicamente pasaron a ser empleadas de Chanel en el taller debordados rusos. El romance de Coco y Dimitri se desvaneció cuando él conoció a Audrey Emery, una rica heredera estadounidense con la que se casó meses después. Coco dejó Garches y se instaló en un lujoso apartamento del exclusivo No. 29 de Faubourg St. Honoré.
Un nuevo romance muy espiritual llegó a su corazón en la persona del poeta Pierre Reverdy, quien estaba casado, pero sentía devoción porCoco. Coco lo ayudó secretamente comprando sus manuscritos, interviniendo ante sus editores y dándoles dinero para que se lo enviaran. Los sentimientos de Reverdy por Chanel quedaron plasmados en las dedicatorias de cada una de sus obras, desde 1921 hasta 1960, año de su muerte.
"A mi muy querida Coco con todo mi corazón hasta su último latido", le escribió en Spaves du ciel.
Misia trajo alapartamento de Coco a la escritora Colette,  agregando una nueva conocida a las reuniones.
Chanel diseñó el vestuario para la obra Le train bleu, una pieza de los Ballets Rusos presentada por Cocteau y Diaghilev.
El príncipe de Gales (futuro rey Eduardo VIII) la asediaba, pero Chanel confesó: -Me aburría a su lado.
