College Life
We are living in a community and we have to follow some rules. As an example, we are not living in our home with our own room. We have roommates and we have to be clean and polite withthem. If we act following the correct way in that sense, then we can enjoy our free time together hanging out and stuff like that. In my case, I spend so much time with my teammates. We have at leasttwo or three trips every month and we have practices every day. They are my family here and we help each other if we need it. That is new for me. I played basketball too but there was not like here; Ihad teammates and we had a good relationship, but we were just teammates. Here in college we are more than teammates. We are living together in the same place and we are one. For example, if we failjust one class we are not able to play next semester. In addition, we should get at least a B to keep the athletic scholarship. Well, if a teammate has problems in one class, the rest of the team hasthe responsibility to help him to success in his class.
That is the meaning of “community” that I have learnt here in college. During this time and age, the work force is more competitive than ever.College offers a head start and can be used as a stepping stone for a successful career. College groups people with the same interests into one confined area. We are able to meet other students andestablish friendships and can network connections throughout life in a short four year period.
