Types
Colonic polyps are often classified by their behaviour (i.e. benign vs. malignant) and/or etiology (e.g. as a consequence ofinflammatory bowel disease)
They may be benign (e.g. hyperplasticpolyp), pre-malignant (e.g. tubular adenoma) or malignant (e.g. colorectal adenocarcinoma).

Neoplastic Polyp Adenoma
Neoplastic Polyp
A neoplasm is a tissue whose cells have lost itsnormal differentiation. They can be either benign growths or malignant growths. The malignant growths can either have primary or secondary causes.
Neoplastic polyps of the bowel are often benign hence calledadenomas. An adenoma is tumour of columnar cells or glandular tissue

Adenomatous Polyps
Adenoma: tumor of glandular origin
these growths are benign, over time they may progress tobecomemalignant,
Adenomas of the colon are quite prevalent. They are found commonly at colonoscopy. They are removed because of their tendency to become malignant and to lead to colon cancer.

Adenomatous Polyps2
Colorectal cancers arise fromadenomatouspolyps in the colon. These mushroom-shaped growths are usually benign, but some develop into cancer over time. Localized colon cancer is usually diagnosedthrough colonoscopy.

Hamartomatous Polyps
hamartoma[2] is a benign,[3] focal malformation that look like a neoplasm in the tissue of its origin. This is not a malignant tumor, and it grows at thesame rate as the surrounding tissues

Juvenile Polyps
Epitelial cells are the ones who made the tissue in the epitelium of the colon, therefore the fjp creates a strangebody of epitheliasl cellsFJP is associated with an increased risk for the development of colorectal cancer, and in some families, gastric cancer, especially where there are both upper and lower gastrointestinal polypsPeutz Jghers Polyps
Diference between the juveniles poplyps is that pj polyps also affects muscular tissue, not only epitelium
