Different Reaction under pressure
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stand in moment of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at time of challenge and controversy.”  For me the“critical lens” means that the strength of a man is not notable when he is in times of comfort and glory, but when he is under pressure and in a challenge. My opinion the “critical lens” is that I agreewith it because that talk about a man that shows his strength when is under pressure. That idea is similar to the book “when the emperor was divine” and the movie “come see the paradise” because in bothstories, the character show there strength in the Japanese interment camp .I will use literary terms climax and point of view to support my opinion of agreement with the C.L .
In the movie “come seethe paradise” the mom is telling the story to the daughter that lily and Minichan were separated from here father and jack can’t really tell the story because he wasn’t in the interment camp. The momwas telling the story to her daughter because they were going to see jack the man that they were with out to see each other in a long time, that’s why the daughter is so interested in the story. Andin the book the little girl when she grows up she wrote the story about she and her family because she was trying to communicate what happened to the Japanese people in America in times of war. Myconcept about the C.L and these point of view is that the father in the book is only a strong guy when he is in moments of comfort and convenience, and the father in the movie shows he’s that he canstand tall in time of controversy.
The climax in the book is actually when the family gets to the concentration camp because it explains exactly how the Japanese were treated in times of war, it  tellus that the American government translated to there people that the Japanese race is a threat to the country. And the climax of the movie is when the father went to visit his family to the...
