Men in our society have become passionate about things that don’t matter and passive about things that matter most.
We resemblemany times the 1st Adam
when God has called us to love our bride as Christ did. Christ the second Adam is passionate for his bride. Lord, make us more like Jesus. Make us courageous.
We were made to be courageous // We were made to lead the way // We could be the generation // hat inally breaks the chains // We were made to be courageous
// We were made to be courageous // We were warriors onthe frontlines // Standing unafraid // But now we’re watchers on the sidelines // While our families slip
away // Where are you, men of courage // You were made for so much more // Let the pounding of our hearts cry // “We will serve the Lord” // We were made
to be courageous // And we’re taking back the ight // We were made to be courageous // And it starts with us tonight // he only way we’llever stand // Is
on our knees with lifted hands // Make us courageous // Lord, make us courageous // his is our resolution // Our answer to the call // We will love our wives
and children // We refuse to let them fall // We will reignite the passion that we bury deep inside // May the watchers become warriors // Let the men of God arise
// Seek justice, love mercy // Walk humbly with your God //In the war of the mind I will make my stand // In the battle of the heart and the battle of the hand

C ITY ON THE HILL
MATTHEW 5:13-16; 1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-20; PHILIPPIANS 2:15; EPHESIANS 4; EPHESIANS 5:8
Barnabas was the encourager, Peter was a confronter. It worked in Jesus’ day but it’s not working very well today. Today, Barnabas sees Peter as not being
relevant to the culture and Peter sees Barnabas as a weak sellout. Instead of being likeminded thru Jesus, we gather withthe likeminded in personality and
conviction. Meanwhile the world watches us eat each other and wants nothing to do with it. Father bring us back together under your banner and let us be a
part of you reconciling the world to yourself.
Did you hear of the city on the hill? // Said one old man to the other // It once shined bright and it would be shining still // But they all started turning oneach
other // You see, the poets thought the dancers were shallow // And the soldiers thought the poets were weak // And the elders saw the young ones as foolish //
And the rich man never heard the poor man speak // And one by one, they ran away // With their made-up minds to leave it all behind // And the light began
to fade in the city on the hill // he city on the hill // Each one thought...
