Commitment
Personal responsibility is not just arriving on time (which is animportant factor) but it is arriving on time and being prepared. For instance, when taking an exam, when the professor arrives you should be seated with nothing on your desk except the tools/materialsneeded. Also, making a promise with someone means you are making a commitment and you are responsible to make sure you are loyal and accomplish that promise; it does not matter if it’s a promise withsomeone else or yourself. Such as, one of the many promises I have with myself is to stay healthy because if I do not stay healthy I cannot take care of my home, my children, or myself. Another factorof personal responsibility is staying on track with your short-term or long-term goals, staying on track with your studies and work. If you do so, you can guarantee that you are becoming more ethicallymature, an independent, and responsible person. I need to write down those goals, constantly review them, acknowledge them, and change them if needed. On the other hand, to stay on the right pathwith studies I need to write good notes review them constantly. Taking notes while reading the materials thoroughly is another way to study. Another factor that prevents you from being successful isprocrastination.
