students At the end of this level students will be able to:
Listening: • Recognize familiar words and very basic phrases concerning themselves, family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly. • Recognize what people are doing these days. • Recognize things that people did in the past.Reading: • Understand familiar names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogues. • Understand imperatives, both affirmative and negative, as well as words related to exercise and sports. • Identify verbs in past tense when reading about past activities and experiences. • Familiarize with adjectives that describe good and bad features of restaurants.Speaking: Spoken interaction. • Interact in a simple way provided the other person to be prepared to repeat or rephrase things at a slower rate of speech and help them formulate what they are trying to say. • Answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics. • Interact with their peers about things they are doing later on. Spoken Production. • Use simple phrases andsentences to describe where they live and people they know. • Use past simple tense to tell the class about a personal experience. • Talk about favorite food and places to eat out.
