CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL CUIDADO HUMANO SEGÚN JEAN WATSON ASOCIADO AL BIENESTAR EMOCIONAL DEL PACIENTE CON CÁNCER TERMINAL EN EL SERVICIO DE ONCOLOGÍA DEL HOSPITAL GOYENECHE AREQUIPA – 2011.

RESUMEN
El individuo que se aproxima a la muerte atraviesa por diferentes etapas, en las cuales su bienestar emocional definitivamente se encuentra alterado; lo podremos observar en diferentes sentimientos y comportamientos, ya sea con el personal de salud, con sus familiares, en la aceptación deltratamiento, en el afecto por los demás y con uno mismo.
En todas estas etapas que son muy difíciles para los enfermos y sus familiares, se requiere de todo el apoyo, la fortaleza espiritual y emocional del personal de enfermería; ya que es mucho aún lo que se puede y se debe hacer para ayudar a los enfermos con cáncer en fases terminales.
El objetivo del estudio fue determinar las característicasdel cuidado humano según Jean Watson asociado al bienestar emocional de los pacientes con cáncer terminal en el servicio de oncológica del Hospital Goyeneche de Arequipa.
La metodología de estudio fue de tipo no experimental, de corte trasversal y de diseño descriptivo – correlacional. La población de estudio fueron los pacientes nuevos (20 pacientes) que se hospitalizaron en el Servicio deOncología del Hospital Goyeneche de Arequipa durante el primer trimestre del año 2011. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó la técnica de la entrevista (guía de entrevista). Para el análisis de resultados se utilizó la técnica de Chi cuadrado (p).
Se concluye que el cuidado humano según Jean Watson brindado por el personal de enfermería del servicio de oncológica del hospital Goyeneche seasocia significativamente al bienestar emocional de los pacientes con cáncer Terminal en el servicio de oncológica del hospital Goyeneche.

ABSTRACT
The individual who is approaching death goes through different stages, in which their emotional wellbeing definitely is altered; we can observe in different feelings, and behaviors,either with the health personnel, with their relatives in the acceptance of the treatment, in the affection for others and with oneself.
In all these stages that are very difficult for the sick and their families, requires all the support, the spiritual strength and emotional of the nursing personnel; since there is still much that can and must be done to help the sick with cancer in terminalstages.
The objective of this study was to determine the characteristics of the human care according to Jean Watson associated with the emotional well-being of patients with terminal cancer in the service of the oncological Hospital Goyeneche in Arequipa.
The study methodology was non experimental. Cote cross-sectional and descriptive design - correlational. The study population were new patients(20 patients) which was hospitalized in the Oncology Service at Hospital Goyeneche in Arequipa during the first quarter of the year 2011. For the collection of data we used the technique of the interview (interview guide). For the analysis of the results is used the technique of Chi-square (p).
It is concluded that the human care according to Jean Watson provided by the nursing staff of theservice of the oncological hospital Goyeneche was significantly associated to the emotional well-being of patients with terminal cancer in the service of the oncological hospital Goyeneche.
