Resumen: El Liderazgo transformacional como medio para desarrollar una gestión educativa en contextos
educativos descentralizados, constituye un eje temático en permanente discusión para orientar la búsqueda de
respuestas, tanto teóricas como pragmáticas a la problemática que subyace en torno a la gestión de los centros
de Educación Básica. En este marco dereferencia epistémica se ubica el presente artículo, en generar una
aproximación a la Gestión Educativa fundamentada en una perspectiva holística, que integre las dimensiones de
liderazgo transformacional en contextos educativos descentralizados. En efecto, la investigación en tanto a los
fundamentos teóricos de soporte se apoya en los postulados del liderazgo transformacional de Bolívar (2004), yla
Descentralización Educativa de Saldivia (1997) y Weiler (1996) entre otros. Finalmente, el proceso de
categorización de la realidad estudiada permitió interpretar y teorizar como insumos necesarios para la
construcción de la conceptualización de la gerencia educativa en contextos descentralizados.

Abstract: The Leadership transformacional as way to develop an educational management in educational
decentralized contexts, constitutes a thematic axis in permanent discussion to orientate the search of answers,
both theoretical and pragmatic to the problematics that sublies around the management of the centers of Basic
Education. In this frame of referenceepistemic the present article locates, in generating an approximation to the
Educational Management based on a perspective holistic, that integrates the dimensions of leadership
transformacional in educational decentralized contexts. In effect, the investigation while to the theoretical
foundations of support it rests on the postulates of the leadership transformacional of Bolivar (2004) andGreyhaired (2004), and the Educational Decentralization of Saldivia (1997) and Weiler (1996) between others. Finally,
the process of categorization of the studied reality allowed to interpret and to theorize as inputs necessary for the
construction of the conceptualization of the educational management in decentralized contexts.
