Feature Description/Benefit
Guest accounts Feature
Web-based kiosk application that allows guests to create an Equitrac account. Once created, funds can be added via Cashier, Web Deposit or Pay Station Deposit Center. Guest users would have to use workstations with the Release Key popup feature since they would nothave network IDs.
Benefit
Frees up administrative resources because library patrons and university guests can create and manage their own accounts.
Free and paid accounts Feature
Institutions need to track separately the money deposited by students. With this release we are separating user accounts. The free account contains money provided by the institution. The paid account contains moneydeposited by the user via Cashier or Web Deposit. The free account is drawn against before the paid account. Scheduled account resets will only affect the free account so that the real dollars in the paid account are carried forward each term. End points will only display the combined account balance. A report will show the paid account balance.
Benefit
The separation of institution and studentsourced funds allows the university full flexibility in managing the free accounts without fear of affecting the real dollars in the paid accounts.
Eliminate campus card mapping file Feature
In order to locate a user’s print jobs, we currently require the creation and maintenance of an import file that associates campus card IDs with network users. Creating and maintaining this file is timeconsuming and we receive many post-sale complaints about it. Users with new or replacement cards are shut out of the system until the next scheduled update of the mapping file.
This feature eliminates the need for the import file by automating the creation of the internal mapping table in CAS.
Supported end points: those that currently support Campus Card.
Benefit
Administrators will no longer needto maintain an import file. Updates will be timelier.

Enhanced search filters Feature
Enhancements to the filtering option in Accounts Manager include:
• A new control to indicate if the current filter is to be saved
• A filter manager to sort and delete saved filters
• Wider selection of fields to search (PIN1, Department, etc)
•Increase the number of saved filters to 25
Benefit
Administrators have more search options and control of retained search filters.
PIN Management – PIN length Feature
Minimum and maximum PIN lengths can now be specified in System Manager for the PIN Management Feature. The current PIN Management feature does not restrict the PIN length. This results in PINs that are too small to be consideredsecure or too long to be practical and must be reset by the administrator.
Supported end points: PageCounter, Web Tools.
Benefit
This enhancement enables the enforcement of a PIN length policy that improves security and reduces administrative intervention.

Workflow features

Delegate printing Feature
This feature allows one user to release another user’s printjobs, i.e., act as a delegate for another user. This workflow is common where an assistant is required to release a manager’s print jobs.
Delegates can be specified via an AD/LDAP field or with a new delegate management control in System Manager. A delegate can serve more than one user (i.e., manager or delegator).
After a delegate logs into an end point, document names of print jobs will betemporarily prefixed with the network ID of the sender. Print costs will be charged to the job sender and reports will indicate the delegate who released the job.
Supported end points: all
Limitations
For this release, there is no way for a delegator to indicate that a print job is not available for delegate printing. Hence; private printing is not possible.
