Foundation for seniorliving is one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Arizona. It was founded more than 30 years ago. Each year they assist tens of thousand of people. They provided different services like adult dayhealth car, adult foster care, assisted group living, and many more. As a group we decided to volunteer at this organization, because of the many activities they had to offer. Some activities that theyoffer are arts & crafts; current events discussion, music and off campus events. Our expectations where high, we expected to have a good day volunteering with seniors. Our day stared, by a tour ofthe place. It’s a well organized building. They have senior on one side and young adults on the other. The activities stared as we got there. My activity was to help with the sing along activity. Itwas something that I never done, I was kind scared. The songs that they where using where songs that I never heard in my life. The music stared, all the seniors stared singing with passion. They reallyenjoy remembering those songs. I was just quit until, one of the senior said come on sing with us. I stared riding the songs quietly, as time past I was enjoying it more and more. This activitythought me that it does it matter your age you can really come together as a group enjoys the same thing. After the sing along we had snacks time to relax. We had coffee and cookies with them. Then we didwater coloring, the funest thing ever. In this activity senior and young adult came together to participate. We stared painting and everyone was having so much fun. Then a I saw an old lady sitting onthe corner by her self. I asked the counselor about her, she said that she did not speak English that’s why it was hard for her to communicate with the other. She only speak Spanish, I want up to...
