The mayacivilization spread to the South of Yucatan, part of Guatemala and Honduras. between the 3rd and 15th centuries. The Maya were not a unified State, but they were organized in several independentcity-States between if they controlled a territory more or less broad. Not speaking a single language.

Maya buildings were made of wood and stone basically. Among thewoods are preferred coba and sapote, being very resistant to attacks as termites.
Among the stones were used limestone: palacios rectangular and elongated, temples, ball courts, causeways (sacbeob)linking the main towns, forts, steam (temazcal).
