Constant Acceleration of an Object in Free Fall
Aim: Using a ticker timer to find the value of gravity on earth.
Materials:
1. A ticker timer2. A 100 g hook weight


3. 100 g extra weight 4. PaperTape
(For hook weight)


5. Ticker timer tape 6. Power outlet7. Voltage regulator 8. Two (about) waist height tablesMethod/Procedure:
1. Place the two tables on top of each other (Make sure you place them close to a power outlet)
2. Plug the voltage box into the power outlet and set it on top ofthe top table.
3. Grab the ticker timer and set it close to the edge.
4. Plug the ticker timer to the voltage box (WARNING: Make sure the ticker timer is off).
5. Rip a piece of ticker timerpaper (The piece of paper has to be taller than the two tables).
6. Now you are going to put the paper through one end of the ticker timer, under the circle paper on it, and out the other end.7. On one end of the ticker timer paper, make a small loop and use normal tape to keep it together.
8. Turn the ticker timer around to let the end with a loop hang off the edge (Let the loophang off the edge and the rest of the paper laying on the table)
9. Now you are going to put the hook (with the extra 100g weight on it) on the end with the loop (You have to hold both ends so thatthe paper keeps still).
10. Now make sure that the ticker timer is slightly sticking out from the edge. One partner is going to hold the ticker timer and will be ready to turn it on, while you...
