CONSUMER BEHAVIOR
Consumer behavior is the study ofthe buyer decision in the process of the buy. It studies the psychology of how consumers think, feel, reason, and select a product between different alternatives or brands. One definition of ConsumerBehavior is: “Involves the process by which people determine whether, what, when, where, how, from whom, and how often to purchase goods and services”.
Consumer behavior is influenced for a lot ofthings that can change the direction of the buyer decision. Some of these things are the relationships, lifestyle, personality, family, motivation, knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, feelings, situations,environment, etc. It also concern with the consumer need or desire of something. We can look at the image that in the back of the context of the buyer are a lot of components that affect hisdecision.
In the practice there are other external factors that could change the buyer decision; some of these factors can be manipulated by the companies. The company must take the direction ofsatisfying needs. They have to adapt and improve their marketing strategies to each market, to obtain better results in their percent of sales.
One of the methods that companies use to appeal to apotential buyer is applying color theory. Color is believed to be one of the most powerful elements that manipulate marketing materials in order to take the attention of customers. The theory said that peopleassociates colors with things, beliefs or memories. Color associates can vary from country to country but in Western culture they are basically the same. It explains why sometime we feel safer in onestore or more energetic in other.
