Grinda the swimming frog
In a lake by the forest , a family of frogs were happily swimming to celebrate that spring was finally here.
All of a sudden , mommy frog heard a scream:
*Riiiiiiiiiiiibet!!!!!!!!!!!!
Grinda , the youngest of all her children , had hurt herself. Mommy and Daddy Frog and all her siblings went to see her.
* Grinda , what happened?
The young frog had hurt oneof her back legs and couldn´t jump.
When she tried to jump she went sideways instead.
* Why don’t you try to move your leg in wáter
* Asked her oldest sister.
* Good idea! –Said herdaddy.
* Since you can’t float in the wáter, you can move your leg slowly until it gets better.
The problem arrived when she tried to go to he water.
She could not jump forward.
* Well , thenstand next to the wáter so that when you jump sideways, you falla right into it.
* Suggested her brother.
* Good idea! – added Mommy frog.
* Since you will go in the direction of your hurtleg, if you stand with you jump you will fall right in to the water.
Grinda was a Little confused with all these ideas and calculations , but she trusted her family , and she knew they were trying tohelp her.
So she did as they said.
She jumped towars the water and landed exactly there on her first try!!!
Once in the lake , she tried to swim like she had always done by moving her two backlegs. But her leg was hurting a lot and she couldn’t move it.
So every time she tried to swim forwars , she would move sideways instead.
* There is no way we can all go together like this! – crieddaddy frog.
After a short time , no one could think of what to do.
Grinda, disappointed and a Little upset, kicked one of the front legs into the water.
* Hey , i moved!! –she screamed.
Withoutreally believing what had happened , she raised other front leg and moved it the same way.
And there she went, she moved a Little bit more.
All her family watched her with amusement . By moving...
