Universal Theme Patcher
"Universal Theme Patcher" is another excellent UxTheme Patcher for Windows 7. It can be used on both 32-bit (x86) and64-bit (x64) systems.
Following are simple steps to use this tool:
Open the Folder Universal Theme Patcher. You will find 2 separate executablesof “Universal Theme Patcher” for 32-bit & 64-bit. Select the right version for your system and run the program as an administrator.
Selectyour language & then click the ‘OK’ button.
It'll detect the OS and condition of the system files. It'll show you the information and will askyou for confirmation. Click on 'Yes' button.
Now you'll see the main interface of this tool. Now, you should patch three system files(themeservice.dll, themeui.dll & uxtheme.dll), you just need to click on the "Patch" button given for each file.
It will display a pop-up message of“Patch Success” whenever you patch a file. Simply click on the ‘OK’ button and patch the next file. Once you patch a file, the "Restore" button getsactivated so that you can restore the default file in future.
After patching all the three files, it will ask you to restart your pc. Click on ‘Yes’button to restart your computer.
After restarting your computer, nothing will be changed except your Windows 7 will now allow custom 3rd partythemes. Congratulations! Your Windows 7 is ready to use custom themes.
You can restore the default files anytime using the “Restore” button.
