Radiance Solar & Georgia Non-Profit Solar Project
• • The MedShare solar system is the latest in a series of six photovoltaic installations in the Georgia Non-ProfitSolar Project (GNPSP). MedShare’s 25-kilowatt system was designed and installed at no cost to the organization, and made possible through the competitive renewableenergy grant program administered by GEFA. • Radiance Solar designed the MedShare photovoltaic system using highefficiency solar modules manufactured by Georgia-basedSuniva. The system features 105 Suniva panels and SMA inverters and monitors. • The system is expected to produce 33,000 kWh per year, offsetting over 130,000 pounds ofcarbon dioxide each year or the equivalent of almost 7,000 gallons of gasoline.
Bridging the Gap Between Surplus and Need
MedShare is a nonprofit organization dedicatedto improving healthcare and the environment through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies and equipment to those most in need. Theycollect surplus medical supplies and equipment from hospitals, medical distribution companies and individuals, and then redistribute them to qualified healthcarefacilities in the developing world. Medshare also outfits medical missions and safety net clinics in both the U.S. and abroad.
