Compare/Contrast Essay

When it comes to video gaming products it is always good to compare and contrast each software thoroughly. The two majorleading software companies are Microsoft and Sony. These two companies have been battling it out for over a decade now and it seems that no one will ever be the victor due to theconstant renewing of their consoles. The similarities they have are that they are both a gaming system, they both target adults and young children opposed to Nintendo which onlytargets young children, and finally they both have a high level of graphic input inside there software. The differences are that one brand is American and the other is Japanese, PS3holds more graphics than XBOX 360, and that XBOX 360 is a better provider of games.
Personally I have had the experience to play both of these consoles and it seems to me thatthey both have their ups and downs. XBOX 360 downs are that it’s more expensive to buy accessories for it, it is very common for an XBOX 360 to break down, and it is also veryhard to maintain it clean due to its over size holes. PS3 downs are that it is very expensive to buy by itself, but accessories are not that expensive, it’s pretty big in size, andvery fragile as well.
The positive things about XBOX 360 is that it has a life time warranty, if anything ever were to happen to your 360 you can send it in and within twoweeks you would have your XBOX 360 back and functioning perfectly, a feature that PS3 does not posses. The positive things about a PS3 is that if you want to play online it will costyou nothing, unlike XBOX 360 were you have to sign up for XBOC Live in order to play online. Overall both systems are great but if I were to choose one it would be an XBOX 360.
