There are two main classes. The first are the elite, Western-influenced education, upper and middle class. The second group, which is muchmore humble, belong farmers, urban and working class. There are huge differences in lifestyle, habits, food, clothing, etc.. In 1970 the government introduced liberal economic policies known as the"open door". This policy is more demand for the first group, because it connects with the culture and foreign capital.
In the past, women of the lower classes worked in the fields with their husbands, inorder to support his family, while women of the upper classes were held in the homes, because their husbands kept the family. Today, many women work outside the home, and wear scarves covering theirheads to remember that they are Muslim.
Quite often, we find people in the Western world, who think that a Muslim is a man dominated by physical passions and holder of a limited or unlimited numberof wives and concubines. Many of these people show their surprise at seeing a Muslim with one wife, or a Muslim celibate. They believe that Muslims have complete freedom to change a woman, or series ofwomen, to another, and this is as easy as changing apartment, or even a suit. This attitude is partly compounded by sensational films, stories reported in paperback economic and, in part, by theirresponsible behavior of some Muslims. The inevitable consequence of this is that immobile barriers have prevented millions of people see the bright lights of Islam and its social filosofea.
