COPYING BEETHOVEN

This is a brilliant film led by EdHarris and Diane Kruger and directed by Agnieszka Holland, this film narrate the last days of Beethoven and show us his personality and a few of his daily life. This film is about a composer woman withmany dreams and expectations, Beethoven after “examine” her he turns her in his copyist.
From the beginning to the we can see the perseverance of this women, Anna Holtz, for example in the beginningof the story in spite of Beethoven left her alone in the house and promise her that he will return she wait for him in the street without mattering that she could be in danger. Other example of herperseverance is when she discusses with her boyfriend because of her relation with Beethoven and she prefers continue working with him in spite of his insults and her discussions with him, that is avery important aspect for me because she demonstrates her love for the music and her work, she is the unique person who can support Beethoven with all of his faults.
Anna’s work is very interestingbecause when we imagine Beethoven and his life and his work and his music, we cannot imagine that he needed a copyist for make music, in the beginning Anna is only her copyist but in the course of thefilm we can realize that Anna can take an important place in Beethoven’s life because she can think on his problems, for example, when Anna tell him that his nephew did not want to be an artist andBeethoven didn’t accept that and insults her, but finally Beethoven accept Anna’s opinion and bear it in mind; other example is when he ask her for the sound of his music and take her opinion as valid.Anna is more than a copyist.
