Coral Reef
The ocean is full of life, it has many wonderful species thathave their own ecosystem, like the coral reefs, which are underwater estructures made from calcium carbonate by corals. It is home of many organisms. Coral reefs are lasoknown as "rainforest of the sea".
Eventhough they just occupy 0,1% of the world's ocean surface, coral reefs are very important for the earth. Million of lintel species livethere. Also, they may be a source of medicines, chemicals or other resources that haven't even been discovered yet. To sum up, many of the creatures that live there, likelobsters and fish, are food for us.
From an other point of view, Coral reefs are beautiful places. They are like the oxean garden. It's colorfull structure  gives you asensation of being in another planet. Visiting a coral reef is total worth it to do before diying, but you hace to take care of them and never take anything like rocks or animalsfrom them with you.
For world's bad luck, coral reefs are in danger because of pollution. It causes temperatura changes and coral reefs are very sensitive to that. Some peoplealso take shells from them amd that makes a imbalance on their ecosystem.
To conclude, It is important to protect the reefs we have today, because they can't be replaced.Reefs are formed very slowly by coral. Each animal is tinier than your pinky nail, and grows very slowly, only about 1 centimeter a year. The reefs we have today were formedover thousands of years, and it would take the same to grow back, and it would be very sad to see coral reef growing back in a ocean full of oil and quimics.
