Corrupted pigs in the leadership
The novel “Animal Farm” written by George Orwell, tell us the rare way of a farm of reveled animals, which pretended to create a “human-free” society and subsistin democracy, peace and comfort. But their search for liberty was (even if they couldn’t saw it) eclipsed by the tyrannical manipulation and oppression of their new leader: Napoleon the pig.
Thefirst sing of control in the farm is the owner of the farm: a human called Jones. The animals had a lot of complains about Jones’s behavior. Then Old Major (an old and respected pig) had a view: set theanimals free from human control.
Napoleon (another pig that represent the historical character of Josef Stalin) emerges as an utterly corrupt opportunist. Napoleon came as leader for and becomes atyrannical dictator. He uses the media (Squealers character) to convince the animals of his good leadership and correct way of doing things. Napoleon uses the nonexistent critical view of the rest ofthe animals in order to manipulate them. He takes decisions that attempt against the ten commandments which were set up by Old Major in the past, and in order to justify his acts, he secretly rewritesome commandments and persuaded the animals to believe on it.
Napoleons character and his way of acting is a good allegory of the political tyrants that have emerged throughout human history andwith particular frequency during the twentieth century. That like Napoleon their acts were make for many purposes (money, power, political position, etc…) except the essential one: the social welfare.The tyrannical force existing in any type of society is always there even if the common people, the population can’t see it. Like the sheep, they have no idea of what is leading and taking decisions oftheir lives.
Leaders can change, ideals can change, wishes can change, but until men opens his eyes and creates a analytical view, so they could see the really situation of their condition,...
