The Australians take passion as the sports and the activities outdoors, being an important part of his life. The Australian football is the principal sport of masses ofthe country, followed by the rugby and the críquet (the selections of Australia are among the best in the world). The football and the careers of horses also are popular. The Australians also like othermany sports and puzzles outdoors, like basketball, netball, (similar to the previous one, but played almost exclusively by women), cycling, hiking, golf, tennis and skittles. Since the majority ofthe Australians lives in or near the coast, there is a great enthusiasm for the candle, the surf, the swimming and the fishing. The Australians see very much the television and also it goes away greatto the cinema.

Holidays
The national holidays are the New Year's Day (January 1), The Day of Australia (January 26), Holy Week (Good Friday to Easter Monday), Day of Anzac (or day of thecommemoration of the ex-soldiers, April 25), the Official Birthday of the Queen Isabel II (the second Monday of June), Christmas (December 25) and the Boxing Day (December 26).

The Day of Australiacommemorates the arrival of the Britishers in 1788. The captain Arthur Phillip brought a group of British convicts up to this enormous island. Sydney's city grew from the penal colony founded by the firstcolonists. The aborigines do not celebrate this holiday.

In the Day of Anzac (Armed Forces of Australia and New Zealand), the Australians celebrate the anniversary of the troops that landed inGallípoli's Peninsula in Turkey during the I World war. In the Day of Anzac one produces honors to those that gave his life for the country during the war.

The Australians celebrate a few hot navidades,on having been a summer and are accompanied by the labor and school vacation.
