A. Read the following questions and provide answers based on Generative Grammar Theory by Noam Chomsky (1970).
1. What is case theory?2. How is case theory assigned? Give examples.
3. What is the importance of case theory when learning and teaching a second language?
4. What is movement?5. How many movements can be studied in Generative Grammar? Explain all of them. Provide examples.
6. What is discourse movement? What is it for?
The discourse movementcan only be loosely characterized. What links theorists within this movement is their central commitment to discourse, defined as correct or authentic dialogue. Currently, theDiscourse Movement seems to have gained a significant degree of momentum and to be drawing support from a variety of theoretical perspectives and across generational lines.Discourse as a basis for carrying out public administration seems to have attained, rather suddenly, a new legitimacy.
7. What is the importance of movement when learning andteaching a second language?
According to the information required, each pair of students is going to:
* Write academic answers in English.
* Take all the formalaspects into consideration (introduction, body, closure)
* Facilitate the references to the professor.
* Organize your written piece of work in a very creative and interestingway.
* Do your best in summarizing the content.
* Be sure the members of the group have the same participation.
* Hand it in on time. (February 28thth )
