we bought our house about 10 years ago. It’s very old. it was built in 1781. soon after we moved in unusual things began happening. first we started losing things and finding them again instrange places. one day i was cooking in the kitchen and smelled smoke. nothing was burning on the stove. i looked outside there was no fire there either. once when my parents were visiting they heardfootsteps in the hall. Later, they saw a strange woman in the bedroom upstairs. a repairman found a back door wide open. he know that the door was never used because the key was lost many years earlier"iran as fast as i could" he said.   that's when i called in a psychic,   person who tries to contact ghosts. the psychic told us these things. "the woman's name is Dora" he said. "she's about 60years old". she lived in this house and died here in a fire in 1812. she likes to cook and spends a lot of time in the kitchen. you probably hear footsteps because she wears a pair of heavy boots. shedoesn i know that she is dead. she thinks that she has a right to be here. we have lived with Dora for year now and we ve gotten used to her. she hasn't hurt anyone. although i've   never seen her, ioften talk to her while. i'm working in the kitchen.
