Thus, heavy metal bands like Metallica and Megadeth, could see their own rise as wellin the first years of their careers. Because of the enormous impact they had on people, their main vocalists could pretty much attain fame and fortune very quickly, but sometimes the sudden rush offame can take the best of people, and make them go the wrong way.
Megadeth’s guitarist and vocalist, Dave Mustaine, can be an example of how fame took over him and how he ended up developing anextreme drug addiction just to deal with the overwhelming weight of sudden fame.

Megadeth’s guitarist and vocalist, Dave Mustaine, had lived a tumultuous life surrounded by differentproblems that had a catastrophic impact on his life as an adult. Thus, the only way out was to run away from all of his problems by focusing on pursuing a successful musical career. A musical lifestyledoesn’t always let a musician remain in the same place for quite a long period of time, so the only way Mustaine could actually make some money, was being a part-time drug dealer. That lead him to rundown the same path, and to feel like he had to live the rock ‘n roll dream: in order to be consider as cool, he had to shoot heroine, drink until dropping and being involved with women.
