INTRODUCCION
En 2005 fui invitada en Washington al seminario sobre la trata de personas, The Bridage Project, organizado por el Concern Woman for America, Janice Coruse, con la participación y apoyo delDepartamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos. Acudimos diversas agrupaciones de México. Nos dieron a elegir cinco temas para trabajar: concientización, prevención, reforzamiento de leyes, persecución y restauración. Mi esposo y yo integramos el único equipo que pidió abordar el tema de restauración. Desde el primer momento nos enfocamos en el apoyo a las víctimas. Aunque consideramos que las otrasáreas son importantes para combatir el delito, el daño que sufre una persona que es expuesta a este tipo de esclavitud requiere gran atención para lograr una restauración integral.
Desde entonces gran parte de mi vida trabajo se han enfocado a ayudar a las víctimas de la trata y la esclavitud sexual.
