Mounting and dismounting a bearing on a tapered seating by means of the SKF oil injectionmethod and the SKF hydraulic nut can be demonstrated, as well as the mounting and dismounting of a deep groove ball bearing in a blind housing. The unit is intended to be used with bearing 22320 EK/C3 and ball bearing 6006, which are obtainable from the local SKF dealer. The following SKF Maintenance Products arerecommended to be used: 6. Hydraulic nut HMV 20E 7. Quick connection nipple 729100 to fit the connection hole in the tapered shaft 8. Pump 729124 to be used for the oil injection method and tooperate the hydraulic nut 9. Fitting tool TMFT 33 to drive up the ball bearing 10. Ball bearing puller TMMD 61 to extract ball bearing 6006 11. Feeler Gauge 729865 A to measure reduction in radial internalclearance

Operating instructions
Mounting of bearing 22320 EK/C3 Make sure that the bearing bore as well as the shaft seating are clean. Apply a thin layer of oil to the shaft. Measure theinternal radial clearance with the feeler gauge in the bearing before putting it on the shaft. Manually place and push up the bearing on the tapered seating as far as possible Screw the hydraulic nut HMV 20Eonto the shaft until the piston is in contact with the bearing. Connect pump 729124 via quick connection nipple 729832 A to the hydraulic nut. Make sure there is no air left in the hydraulic system.While pumping oil into the hydraulic nut, measure the reduction of the internal clearance of the bearing according to instructions given in the SKF general catalogue or publication PI 300/1.
