The department of Beni is located northeast of the Republic of Bolivia, bounded on the north by the department of Pando and the Republic of Brazil, south to the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz on the east by Brazil and Santa Cruz and West with Pando and La Paz. It covers an area of 213,654 km2 and a population of 276,174 inhabitants (census 1992).

Historic Heritage - Cultural
