PREI has been investing in LatinAmerica since 2000. We currently manage funds specializing in industrial, residential, and retail properties in Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina, and we have transactions capabilities throughout Latin America. As of March 2010, PREI has over 70 associates operating in Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. Through its industrial and retail platforms, PREI Latin Americahas developed and managed 11 shopping centers and 151 industrial facilities. Through its housing platform, it has developed 207 projects and sold over 250,000 housing units. Additionally, we currently hold 150 million square feet of improved-land in 4 projects under development, a high-end second home project including a 250-slip marina and more than 5,000 apartments are under constructon.

estimaDos amigos: Pocas pausas en el tiempo tienen tanta trascendencia en la historia humana comoaquellas que se toma el arquitecto para imaginar y diseñar un proyecto sustentable. Sin duda, la planeación de un inmueble “verde” conlleva en sí mismo mucho más que talento y destreza creativa, pues el nivel de conciencia y comprensión sobre la importancia de hermanar la funcionalidad y estética de un edificio con la naturaleza y hacerlas fluir conjuntamente de manera armoniosa es apenas propio depocos. Sin embargo, México se ha distinguido en esta materia globalmente, gracias a la muy destacada labor de importantes despachos de arquitectura, los cuales no sólo han sido reconocidos en diferentes foros internacionales, sino además honrados con la selección de sus diseños para realizar y dirigir proyectos en diversos países del mundo. El ahorro de energía, la selección y reciclaje de materiales,la optimización del agua, la captación pluvial, el aislamiento térmico y la responsabilidad social, son algunos temas de los muchos que se podrán estudiar en esta edición, además de conocer sobre los muy destacados proyectos mexicanos que, en ciudades como Monterrey, Tijuana y el Distrito Federal, se han convertido en referentes mundiales de arquitectura sustentable.
