Preston is Carl Denhams assistant, and he manages survives all the dangers of Skull Island. He makes it back to New York. He almost fell to his death above theinsect pit during the log scene, but grabbed a hanging vine while the log was falling, holding on there until Captain Englehorn and Bruce Baxter rescued thesurvivors

Ann Darrow Is an unemployed actress reduced to homeless by the great depression . She was a beautiful woman and worked in Lyric Theather, She alsodeclined Denham's invitation at first, but only accepted when she realized Jack was going along too

Carl Denham: Denham's function in the story is to initiate theaction by bringing the characters to Skull Island, where they encounter the giant beast Kong. Denham then brings Kong to New York City to put him on display asentertainment, but he escapes and rampages through the city.

Captain Englehorn is captain of the S.S Venture, and he saves the main characters twice.

BruceBaxter: was a famous and successful actor who was to star Carl Denham's film.

Jimmy is a young sailor aboard the SS Venture. He's the lookout of the Venture and aclose friend with first mate Ben Hayes who he views as a father figure.

Ben Hayes: An older sailor Hayes is wary of Denham from the beginning, but accompanieshim and Jack on their journey to find Ann.

Herb was the loyal, portly camera man of Carl Denham. He accompanies Carl and his film crew onto the island twice -once into the native's village (where they are captured and later rescued by Captain Englehorn) and again when several of the men set out to rescue Ann Darrow.
