THE MAN SCARED

He had heard that the mountain was haunted, but he didn’t care. That summer night, the moon was full as he knocked the last peg into the ropesthat secured his small, one-man tent. He was up there alone, on the summit of Ben McDhui, an isolated peak in the Cairngorm Mountains of Scotland. He enjoyed beingalone. He could think about things, make plans, relax.

Then suddenly he heard the noise. At first he thought it might be another mountaineer, another loner, up thereon the summit like him. But then when he heard the noise again, he realised that he was mistaken. No man could produce the noise that he had just heard.
He followedthe noise. He continued walking, following the noise, between a half an hour more or less. Them, he arrived to a very old road. It was at the top of the mountain.Theroad went down the mountain , and the man continued walking behind the noise. He was so scared when he arrived to a old castle and he heard the noise inside it , butstronger than he had ever heard.
He openned the door very carefully, looking inside the castle. He entered fast and he run to a door. In the door it was a big letterwith big words that put: THE NOISE.
Them he heard the noise again inside. He was openning the door when he heard it. It was the strongest noise that he had everheard. The man ,so frigtened, ran fast outside the castle and he went down the mountain. He didn’t stop running after he arrived to him house.
A old story says that theman he heard the noise, he ever went outside his house because he was so scared. Nobody in the town ever went high to the mountain.
