explain the following concepts

coherence: the sentences must hold together. The movement from one sentence to the next must be logical and smooth.
1 repeat key noun
2 use consistent pronouns
3use transition signals to link ideas
4 arrange your ideas in logical order.

Unity: means that the paragraph discusses one and only one main idea from beginning to end.

pronoun consistency:when you use ponouns use the same person and number throughtout your paragraph.

Key noun: the easiest way to achieve coherence is to repeat key nouns frequently in your paragraph.

Transitionsignals:are the signals that make connection in sentences.

Cronological order: order by time.

Logical división of ideas: divide the paragraph in a following order.

Comparision/contrast: discussessimilarities or diferences.

Opinión: what you think about the topic.

Fact: statement that is true.

In text citaion: using quotation marks “ “.

Works cited list

Plagiarism: is when youuse sombody ideas like if were yours.

Direct quotations: copy the exact information and put quotations.

Indirect quotations: when you don’t copy the same words.

Reporting phrases:Transition signals for:

Chronological order: at first, finally, at last
Comparition/contrast: on the other hand, however,
Logical división área: first, second, third, whit the noun.

WRITE AN EXAMPLEOF:

Direct quotation: the teacher say “ do your homework”
Indirect quotation: my mom said “if you don’t do your homework I will not take you to the movies”
Fact: tomorrow we have two exams.Opinión: I think that movie is too boring.
