English composition: dialogue

Patrick and Beth are two usual students who are talking in an ordinal pub near the center of Londres. They arediscussing about an actuality topic: The economic crisis


P: … and then my boss said “I can’t pay you now, i’m sorry, you must wait for the next month”.B: Incredible! And what was the reason for that delay?
P: It was the crisis. Indeed, the economy of my company isn’t so good.
B: oh… I’m sorry Patrick,it will be a problem for you, especially if you want to pay your bills.
P: Yes… but I won’t let the situation gets down me. Some people say that we will getover the crisis if we work harder. And thats all I’m gonna do.
B: Well, that’s an interestic point of view but... you shouldn’t forget how to live, afterall. I think that we should work to live, and not live to work.
P: Yeah, you may be right. But in this situation I can’t mislead. If I don’t work enough,my boss could fire me from the company. And the job isn’t a easy thing to find nowadays.
B: That’s right, the unemployment is higher every day. That’sanother problem caused by the crisis.
P: Blame it on the bankers. They are who played with the money that they haven’t. That’s why I hate to work in a bank.
B:Well, you have a job at least. You can’t complain of it.
P: Yeah, I’m apologized Beth, I’m sure you’ll find something.
B: Thanks. We can talk aboutsomething else? That crisis and the economy will turn me crazy.
P: Oh, of course, how about your mother? Is she still sick?
B: She is fine, thanks for asking.
